The Internet of Things makes it easier for farmers to monitor and control water resources to meet demand and cut waste and operational costs.

The smart irrigation management system designed by Fanavaran Sanat Robotic Yazd Company is able to implement irrigation according to the needs of plants.

Mohammad Hossein Kargar, the managing director of the company, told ANA that M1 Pro smart irrigation system is a series of FSRobotic smart irrigation products based on the Internet of Things technology.

To control the irrigation system, it forecasts temperature, maintains air pressure, and reduces moisture in the water.

The product is used to manage the irrigation of large urban and agricultural spaces and includes hardware equipment and a central software system, Kargar explained.

He added that the system has the ability to control 10,000 smart stations and receive complete irrigation reports and received data.

A smart irrigation system helps to reduce water consumption and costs, he said, highlighting that it creates a smart irrigation network based on the Internet of Things with the ability to manage and monitor the irrigation system remotely.

Kargar pointed out that the system has also high performance and stability, as well as the ability to connect to all kinds of sensors.

The managing director of Fanavaran Sanat Robotic Yazd Company went on to say that the smart irrigation system shows the information and performance status of all the sensors in the place in real-time.

It is also able to detect the failure of the pump and send a warning message to the operator, he noted.

Meanwhile, the possibility of leakage and bursting during non-irrigation times is provided for the system.

Moreover, the system calculates the total water consumption for each period.

The system can carry out smart irrigation, meaning that it is possible to create different irrigation scenarios and schedules for the system and it can also perform irrigation based on soil moisture and environmental parameters.

Kargar also said that the smart irrigation system works with a solar panel and controls several solenoid valves and pumps.

The system’s software operates based on time and geographic information and makes remote management possible.

The software provides irrigation reports to the user and makes it easier to monitor the irrigation system.

Kargar pointed out that the system has been commercialized and many projects have been done so far.

The largest smart irrigation project has been implemented on a 50-hectare land in Yazd using the smart irrigation system.

Fanavaran Sanat Robotic Yazd Company which operates with the support of the Islamic Azad University, Yazd branch, was established in 2011 with the aim of indigenizing the world's latest technologies using the engineering process.
